Deeply private but refreshingly honest, Disha Patani remains guarded about her personal life, and makes no qualms about it
Disha Patani’s star is on the rise. She’s break-the-Internet, can’t-go-outside-without-being-recognised famous. But Patani is still new to her fame and all the trappings that come with it. “I’m still finding my feet. I’m not the biggest fan of socialising, or the media glare. But, I’ve made my peace with it. I prefer staying indoors to be honest,” she says. Despite this October morning in Mumbai being particularly muggy, Patani is a consummate professional when she arrives for the cover shoot. Tall, sprightly and enthusiastic, she’s quick to change looks, engage with the photographer while busting out a move or two to Jamelia’s Superstar – a fitting tune for someone who knows who she is: An actor, an ambitious one, with more movie sets and meaty parts on the horizon.
