Kym Lim, Managing Director, HP PPS Sales Sdn Bhd.
What were some of the notable changes within HP Malaysia since your appointment as Managing Director?
I have to say it was the separation of HP into two entities – Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP PPS Sales Sdn Bhd, a company established locally on November 1, 2015 and is part of the HP Inc. group of companies in corporate America. Since then, both the print and PC business have been able to compete effectively.
2016 sounds like an exciting time for HP. At the end of last year, you mentioned that HP will approach Personal Systems space with major advances in technology and design. Can you elaborate on that? Is there a specific market HP is hoping to address in Malaysia?
Yes, 2016 is definitely an exciting year for us! We are reinventing and transforming the customer experience through our recently launched ‘One Life’-designed products, focusing on design, productivity, security and entertainment. We see millennials entering the workforce with an appetite for sleek, high-performance and high-quality devices. For millennials, technology is part of their life which they use interchangeably – they use a personal device for work and a business device for play. At HP, our vision is to create technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere. We understand precisely the needs of our consumers, and are always working towards a goal to create new form factors to help fulfill those needs for consumers to access content anytime, anywhere.
