"When people harp on the things that are not your strengths, they can break you and your self-confidence. It's why I feel actors are courageous." Vaani Kapoor
For someone who appears to have chartered a rather tame trajectory into Tinseltown-modelling, television, and then Befikre with Yash Raj Films studios (and then some), Vaani Kapoor still doesn't feel settled...at least not yet. This doesn't seem to faze her. On the contrary, it may even be a deliberate choice: the 33-year-old, who originally hails from Delhi, is constantly segregating her personal life from her professional one to preserve her sanity' and 'find her ground'. "It's an advantage I have as an outsider... I have the choice to not make my whole life available to the public," she says. "There is a little part of my life I hold onto, and I like to protect it because it gives me a safe space," she declares. "I still feel nervous and new, but it's a fabulous job and one that I am grateful for."
