The series broke the platform’s previous streaming records, garnering a massive 35 million viewers within its first 10 days of release. From Joe Exotic’s signature mullet and country music to Carole Baskin’s tiger-print wardrobe and alleged black widow status—their eccentricities generated conversations, memes, and a hooked audience amid a worldwide lockdown. Soon to be turned into a motion picture starring Nicholas Cage, the Midwestern feud is also being adapted into a comic book that comes out later this month.
