The skinny on skincare for tweens and teens
What face-cleansing regime should tweens and teenagers follow?
No matter how young or old you are, and what type of skin you have, choosing the right cleanser is key to maintaining the protective layer and nutrition of your skin. All of us need individual skin care routines, particularly in our tweens and teens, when the skin is undergoing a lot of developmental and hormonal change. Avoid soap. A soap-free cleanser is ideal to wash the face. Though cleansing is necessary, the face shouldn’t be washed too frequently (not more than two times a day) as it robs the skin of protective lipids which are vital for the skin’s balance.
