The desire to create your dream home doesn’t fade with the passing of the years,’ says Laura Montero, who with her business partner, Marina Reyero, is co-founder of architecture and interior design practice Estudio Morgan. ‘If anything, it becomes more urgent. All the different places you’ve lived, the experience of designing spaces and the family dramas played out in them. Perhaps there’s a way to encapsulate that story in a single property; the home that all the others have been leading to?’

The couple who commissioned Laura and Marina told them they had to live in this building. ‘It had been their dream for years,’ says Laura. ‘Its heritage and classic architecture summed up a special beauty for them. And when they bought the apartment in 2018, they finally captured it.’
