LIVING ROOM

On skinny legs, the furniture in this room seems to float above the floor, bringing a sense of weightlessness to the lofty space. ‘I like the elegance and sense of freedom,’ says Malin. ‘The curved sofa is my own design, based on Fifties shapes, but upholstered in a luxe velvet.’

Get the look The curved sofa, patterned armchair and Cubes rug are by Layered. The grey sofa is from Oscar & Clothilde. The pale grey armchair is by Laura Ashley.

The coffee table is a vintage find. The sheep artwork is by Swedish artist Michel Bussien.

DINING ROOM

Adèle and Märtha hang out together on a vintage sofa, which has moved with Malin to her last three homes. New velvet cushions add the comfort factor. Get the look The sofa and brass lamp are vintage finds.

LIBRARY

This room was decorated with a richly patterned maroon wallpaper when Malin and Kristofer moved in. ‘Working with the previous owners’ colours was a challenge too far in this room,’ says Malin. ‘I thought to myself, “What would work better?” The answer was a pink zebra rug!’ Get the look The Shera rug, Imperial sofa and pouffes are by Layered. The armchairs are from One Kings Lane. The ceiling light is from Dusty Deco.

Malin Glemme laughs when she recalls the day a casual browse through property listings turned into a ‘could we, should we’ house move. ‘It was a heart-over-head moment when I saw this property – I was totally overexcited,’ she says.
