BLANCPAIN VILLERET COLLECTION
For 2020, Blancpain's classic collection is going blue in the face. The Villeret Quantième Complet and the Villeret Ultraplate are now available with new blue dials. Named after the village where Blancpain was founded in 1735, the Villeret models combine subtle elegance with technical sophistication. The Quantième Complet, which is powered by a 6654 self-winding movement, combines a complete calendar and moon phases. Its dial shows the date, day of the week and month, while the moon phase display includes a distinctive ‘mischievous’ face that stands out as an interesting element on this watch. The Villeret Ultraplate doesn’t feature as many complications but does include a date display. Its 1151 self-winding movement boasts a four-day power reserve, which is useful. Both of these new models get a 40mm red gold case and midnight blue dial, a seconds hand that bears the founder’s (Jehan-Jacques Blancpain) initials, a sapphire crystal case back and midnight blue alligator strap.
