Townsend worked with the homeowners from the ground up on the new construction project. “We made every selection together, down to the smallest of details,” she explains. “Every decision made was important in the planning of this house to ensure that everything worked cohesively together.” Antiques, antique replicas, and a French aesthetic were seamlessly combined to create soothing spaces.
“I enlisted the help of two immensely talented local faux finishers, Julia Weber and Sherry McAlilly, who accomplished the specific color tone and detail work to add unobtrusive texture on the beams, stair treads, the banister in the entryway, and the paneling of the study,” says Townsend, “I could not have accomplished my vision without the help and artistry of these two ladies.” The warm tones delicately contrast with the crisp white tone of Benjamin Moore’s “White Dove” found throughout the home.
