With an array of revolutionary innovations for both birthing and surgery, St Luke’s Medical CenterGlobal City is raising the bar for gynaecological care in the country
It is a hospital that has become synonymous with world-class services, as well as a degree of care that patients and their loved ones have come to appreciate over time. Through its facilities in Quezon City and Bonifacio Global City (BGC), St Luke's Medical Center has gone beyond simply helping Filipinos heal: it has made a profound change in their lives through state-of-the-art healthcare and the implementation of the world's latest healing modalities.
This can be seen very clearly in St Luke's-Global City's Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Since it first opened its doors in 2009, it has introduced numerous innovations which have made a vast difference in the lives of many women.
"St Luke's is a very safe environment for delivering a baby," Dr Rebecca Singson, past chairman of the department, says with great pride. "We were the first to offer the option of a water-birthing suite, and our neonatal intensive care unit is, at present, the only one with a neo-natal paediatrician on duty at all times. We also have the only hospital-based in-vitro fertilisation [IVF] center in the country."
