A Comic Comeback!

She is a new member in the all new Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai Take 2—the web series. In the promo, we all got to see Dushyant Painter aka Deven Bhojani, the famous son-in-law, but haven’t you always wondered where and who Soniya was?

Well, now you do. The actor to sneak into the shoes of Soniya’s character is none other than Aishwarya Sakhuja. Having begun her career in 2006, the talented actor continues her journey in this glamour world with her latest role.

Aishwarya has done her schooling from Delhi and graduated in English literature from Delhi University. From the moment she made her debut in 2006 as a finalist in Miss India, her journey towards fame and success began. Famous for shows like Saas Bina Sasural, Main Na Bhoolungi, Trideviyaan, and many more, a meaty role in the much-awaited second season of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is the latest in her kitty. She has also hosted a few reality shows, and in 2011, played the role of Nisha in the film U R My Jaan.

Sadly, Aishwarya’s career went for a complete toss after she suffered a serious paralysis stroke during the shoot of Main Na Bhoolungi. She remembers, “Oh, that was a dreadful phase in my life! I would be winking during my scenes and it became very difficult for me to bring expressions required for a particular shot/scene. In fact, that was one of the reasons why I decided to do comedy as that would distract me from the tragedy and subjects that demand me to think more about characterisation.”
