Somebody once said, “The problem with the world today is ignorant people are full of self-confidence, while knowledgeable people are full of self-doubts.” As you may have observed nowadays people in the media, journalism, politicians, teenagers, youth, communists, etc., with hardly any real-world experience or knowledge will be fully confident and talkative about everything under the sun. On the other side, most knowledgeable people will be shy, introverted, and often get subdued by hollow people. This is exactly the reason why talkative and ignorant goofballs enter politics or climb to senior positions in the workplace while knowledgeable people will be languishing at the bottom. This is why Mark Twain said long ago, “The less a man knows the bigger the noise he makes and the higher the salary he commands.”
However, this imbalance has to change and knowledgeable people have to take over the reins in all fields. To achieve this they must first shed their introverted behaviors and start developing the self-confidence they need to lead successfully. This will ensure that no organization or leadership position is controlled by ignorant people.
Why is Self-Confidence Important?
Confidence is the most important feature in everyone’s life. But most people are not born with this quality. However, you can develop it slowly within a few weeks or months.
Self-confidence is important because it gives courage, self-esteem, and assertiveness. When you develop it you are not afraid to take risks or try new things.
Self-confidence is extremely essential for a happy and successful life. It is a quality that most people appreciate and you will not be anyone’s slave or doormat.
