Design & Build Quality
The Canon EOS 200D D-SLR is finished in dull black and looks beautiful. It is light in weight (approximately 453g with battery and card) and sports a deep grip. The On/Off switch is moved to the right hand thumb position. The direct ISO button at the top right helps in quickly changing the ISO when required. The body uses engineering plastic and the build quality is adequate for an entry level camera. The camera body is bundled with an EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM kit lens. The filter diameter is 58mm. The body as well as the lens is made in Taiwan.
Key Features
The Canon EOS 200D is a 24.2 megapixel D-SLR with an APS-C size CMOS imaging sensor, backed by a new DIGIC 7 image processor. The camera uses Canon’s Dual Pixel AF technology for quick and accurate autofocussing, while also offering an ISO sensitivity range from 100-25,600 (expandable to ISO 51,200) that allows you to shoot in low light situations.
The Canon EOS 200D is designed with simplicity in mind. Its Mode Dial offers Basic Zone modes for beginners and Creative Zone modes for more knowledgeable users. The Basic Zone modes turn the 200D in to a point & shoot model where all that the user has to do is press the shutter release button and the camera does the rest. The Creative Zone mode, as the name suggests, offers creative modes wherein the user takes control.
