If you’re looking for a green urban commute solution that comes with a good amount of heft, from its build to its power, then you can’t go wrong with the Segway Ninebot MAX G30LE.

While we tested the American G30LP, the UK’s G30LE is the same apart from the fact it’s had its max speed limited to 15.5mph to comply with the law. They’re both good-looking scooters that immediately set themselves apart from the mass of solid black e-scooters out there, thanks to their predominately grey colour scheme.

Once you get past the scooter’s aesthetic the first thing you notice is that it’s bigger and heavier than e-scooters you might have grown accustomed to seeing. It’s larger than most rental scooters, coming in at 110.9 x 47.2 x 114.6cm unfolded, and its larger size means it’s no lightweight at 17.5kg. Not easy to lug around.
