Sweta Keswani’s Acclaimed Tv Performances Had Made Her One of the Most Sought- After Actors in the Indian Television Industry. In a Tell-all Interview With Tina Thakrar, She Speaks About Her Decision to Move to New York to Find Personal and Professional Contentment.
Between the years 2000 and 2010, Sweta Keswani was one of the most popular faces on television. You probably remember her as the ruthless Avantika Agarwal in the hugely popular Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, the scheming Anu Khurana in Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and the dramatically hilarious Gudiya Thakkar in Baa, Bahoo aur Baby. When we last spoke to her almost a decade ago, she was going through a career high. When we speak to her today, she’s on a personal high!
The Indian actress and model had never planned a career in entertainment, but when the universe threw her some bait, she caught it! She balanced her college life doing ads and commercials until she entered the television industry in early 2000. She took to it with an open mind and no pre-conceived notions, which put her on the path to becoming not just a well-known face but a talented screen presence as well. “I read somewhere that success drives you, and not the other way around. In my case, I got more confident and passionate as I was offered more work,” she reveals.
Sweta’s growing recognition meant that a barrage of work came streaming her way. Besides her television accomplishments, she also featured in films like Love in Nepal and The Memsahib, theatre acts like Residence Visa and Fragile, and commercials for Pond’s, Fanta, Panasonic, Bajaj and Parachute.
