HFT Round Up
Air Gunner|February 2017

Gary Chillingworth brings us the latest news from the UK HFT scene.

HFT Round Up

UKAHFT Round 9 Emley Moor: Sponsored by Sure Shot.

It is always a sad time when we come to the end of the season. It will now be six long months before the aficionados of the country’s most popular shooting series will meet again at the HFT World Championships, to be held once again at the wonderful Kelmarsh Country Game Fair.

2016 has been a wonderful year for the UKAHFT National series; we had great new sponsors, wonderful venues, and with the exception of just one round, every event was sold out, and there was a waiting list of people trying to get in. Year after year, the Nationals get better and better and this is down to a single thing, the shooters.

It doesn’t matter if you have a £2000 gun with a £2000 scope on top of it, or a basic spring gun with an £80 Rhino scope, the Nationals is where people from all walks of life can come along and receive abuse of the highest calibre. We have a wonderful mix of shooters, from the very old to the very young; we have, men, women, gay and straight, families and singles, and even a man who loves his cat. The UKAHFT is a family and I hope that in 2017 we will see you at a shoot.

Long procession
