Alan Ball Benefit Match

Alan Ball Benefit Match

Tickets are now on sale for the benefit match at Goodison Park in remembrance of one of Everton’s greatest ever players, Alan Ball.

The tribute game, to honour a genuine Everton legend, will take place on Saturday 7 October 2017, kicking off at 3pm.

An ‘Alan Ball All-Stars XI’ will be managed by Everton heroes Andy Gray and Peter Reid, and they’ll be supported by Joe Royle and Kevin Campbell.

They will be taking on a Premier League XI with Harry Redknapp at the helm, assisted by Southampton’s 1976 FA Cup-winning manager Lawrie McMenemy and Saints legend Matt Le Tissier.

The match will be kicked off by Bally’s England colleague Sir Geoff Hurst and his great friend, Colin Harvey.

Lee Carsley, James Beattie, Francis Jeffers, Danny Cadamarteri and Peter Crouch have all confirmed they will be playing, with more stars due to be announced over the coming weeks.

This year marks 10 years since Ball’s passing and his children, Mandy, Keely and Jimmy, have been involved in organising a series of events to honour their father, and give fans across the country the opportunity to pay tribute to a legend of English football.
