MICHAEL KORS EXTREME RUSH
IT’S been exactly two decades since Michael Kors unveiled the brand’s first scent. Michael, launched in 2001, was a women’s scent. Almost ever since the brand’s fragrance division has tried to keep up with the men’s and women’s fashion line.
Extreme Rush is the brand’s new men’s scent and a follow-up to Extreme Speed that debuted a few years ago.
As the name suggests, this is a scent for the bold modern gentleman who is a compulsive thrill seeker. Our definition of thrills and adventure might have been tempered slightly since 2020 but it continues to live on. The red flacon captures some of that energy and spirit of adventure. Just like its predecessors, it features the same clean lines and uncomplicated design language almost like the leather laptop portfolio bags from Michael Kors that belong in a boardroom.
The scent begins on a high-energy note. Juniper, bergamot and blood orange combine to create a zesty first impression. The spicy heart includes red thyme, nutmeg, and sage while the warm base dominated by musk also features patchouli and oakmoss. Extreme Rush does reasonably well on the longevity front and doesn’t possess a strong sillage. This one’s perfect after an intense workout and a relaxing post-workout shower. Just what you need if you’re heading for a dinner date from the club.
