Few bands had a 2020 quite as triumphant as Nova Twins.
Working their way up from the DIY scene through basements and bars since their formation back in 2014, they planted their flag firmly in the sand with the release of their debut album, 'Who Are The Girls?'.
Released just days before the global pandemic ground the world to a halt, through ten simply explosive songs the duo proved just why they're one of the most exciting bands gripping Britain right now, sparking a series of curious questions from the rock scene in the process.
Are Nova Twins a punk band? Or a marker of metal's fresh dynamic era? As the easing of lockdown restrictions saw them take to the biggest stages of their career, they proved beyond doubt that those answers no longer matter.
Regardless of anything, as singer and guitarist Amy Love declared on the album's emphatic opener 'Vortex', they're on your doorstep now.
"When we decided to make that album, we were like, 'Okay, it's time. What are we saying with all the experience we've had in our journey?"," Amy starts.
"People would always be like, 'Who are they? They're in this scene but they don't seem like they belong here. We wanted to shine light on the different faces that we came across who also felt invisible or maybe couldn't exist... It was like, 'Here's the spotlight, take it. It's yours"."
