BEN Affleck drew stares as he made his way through Los Angeles International Airport on Sept. 2. Not so much because travelers were excited to see a superstar in their midst, but because he barely resembled the handsome Ben they knew.
“To put it bluntly, he looked like a shambling bum,” one eyewitness says. “He was bloated, red-faced and disheveled. All I could think was, this is the guy who plays Bruce Wayne?”
Friends fear that the culprit behind Ben’s haggard appearance is booze. And it’s gotten so bad that he’s not only at risk of losing just his looks. His wife, Jennifer Garner, is ready to proceed with what she’s been putting off since April: filing divorce papers.
