Skills ‘n' Thrills brings together Musaeuites from all over the world

“Skills ‘n’ Thrills - Online Festival of Stars”, recently organized by the Musaeus College Past Pupils’ Association (MCPPA) was a virtual talent contest that showcased an array of skills and reconnected Musaeuites across generations from all over the world.

Past Musaeuites of all ages, from many countries sent in video entries showcasing varied skills and talents, from singing, dancing, playing instruments, painting, cooking, and baking, recitation of poetry and stories, and acting.

The contestants let their skills shine through for “Skills ‘n’ Thrills”, which was the first of its kind organized by alumni associations of schools in Sri Lanka. Friends scattered around the globe reunited online to put up spectacular shows under in group events, at a time the world had come to a standstill with the lockdown.

Condensing many hours of footage into a single 3-minute video is a formidable task. Yet, MCPPA members took up the challenge with zeal and delivered some incredible time-lapse videos that captured the creative process behind projects like mural painting and dress design, which took several days of tireless work.
