JIM BOLGER, one of the legends of the training profession, showed he has not lost touch as the 79-year-old celebrated victory in the QIPCO 2,000 Guineas with Poetic Flare.
Victory was very much a family affair as the colt was partnered by his son-in-law Kevin Manning, 54, and is owned by his wife Jackie.
Runner-up Master of The Seas, with William Buick on board, arrived late but ran out of the road when failing by a short-head with Lucky Vega, trained by Jessica Harrington, back in third place.
