Charles, who spent time with his mother at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, is said to be displaying mild symptoms after the unexpected positive result on a routine lateral flow test taken shortly before a public engagement yesterday.
It is thought that the 95-year-old monarch will now have tests daily and be observed by a medical team. It has been reported that she is not showing any coronavirus symptoms. The Queen is understood to be triple vaccinated.
She is thought to have received her first jab in January last year and a second in March, and sources say she had her booster jab in October.
