<div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><p id="5">MORE than 3,000 homes were left without power yesterday as the country was battered by gale force winds.</p><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><p>Parts of Offaly, Donegal, Cork, Waterford, Carlow, and Tipperary were all struck with outages as gusts swirled across the country.</p><p>Meanwhile temperatures plummeted as the North saw wintry falls as snowy scenes were seen in northern and western parts.</p><p>A status orange wind warning for Donegal, Galway and Mayo is set to take effect from 12pm today with wind speeds in excess of 110km/h expected in the west.</p>
