THE gang of hackers behind duping country’s top medical institute AIIMS to the tune of Rs 12 crore by making clone cheques were also involved in cheating thousands of international credit cardholders.
The revelation was made by the Azamgarh Police after arresting five members including two hackers and a bank official who were involved in multiple types of financial frauds in the country.
According to the officials, both the hackers – Lakshman Yadav and Kuldeep Singh have done Master of computer applications (MCA) and engineering. They were in touch with several international hackers who used to sell them credit card details of international customers on a commission basis.
