When entrepreneurs Eduardo and Teresita Ngan Tian decided to go into the food business 30 years ago, Lots’ A Pizza was born.
It was no ordinary pizza. The Ngan Tian couple adopted the “quick-serve, take-out, for delivery” concept. Back then, it was such a novel, innovative concept, far from the minds of entrepreneurs and consumers.
Also, Lots’ A Pizza pioneered the practice of preparing, topping, baking the pizza in front of customers. This too was a novel idea.
True to its slogan “Puno ng saya, patok sa lasa,” the business has thrived over the years, becoming a household pizza name despite the presence of bigger foreign pizza chains. The concept has evolved, becoming even more relevant in this pandemic. Without quoting figures, Teresita shares that their forecast for 2021 revenue surpasses the 2019 level or pre-pandemic conditions.
The food sector can never be saturated as it offers a wide array of opportunities. Pizza is just one of them. There cannot be an overcrowding in food concepts. Lots of new and innovative options abound offline and online because of pandemic constraints and the digitalization of all aspects of business.
