The double Olympic champion said a lack of safety at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre in London was not good enough.

The 33-year-old, who was forced to miss the Australian Open after testing positive, said wife Kim and children Sophia, Edie and Teddy have recovered.

He said: “My family are OK. I was p****d off that I missed the tournament and wasn’t able to go to Australia from a personal perspective but then the wider, more important point is that it’s not just about a tennis tournament when I am going back and giving the virus to all of my family and infecting them. I care about that a lot.”

Andy found out he had the virus on January 11 in a pre-flight test before his planned trip to Australia.

When I’m going back and giving the virus to all my family, I care about that a lot
