Both women wore the trousers last night as Nicola Adams and Katya Jones officially became Strictly Come Dancing’s first same-sex pairing.

Olympian Nicola, 37, who in 2012 became the first openly LGBT person to win an Olympics boxing gold medal, showed off her fancy footwork alongside professional Katya on the launch night.

The pair were all smiles as they dazzled in co-ordinated black sequinned sleeveless jumpsuits.

Earlier, Strictly’s new judge Motsi Mabuse tipped Nicola to do well and said she was thrilled to see a same-sex coupling.
