Police Slam Covidiot Fans After Thousands Defy Lockdown Rules

Rangers fans were condemned by police and the Scottish Government yesterday after thousands gathered outside Ibrox before the club took another step towards clinching the league title.

Supporters mobbed manager Steven Gerrard’s car as he made his way to the stadium hours before kick-off. Large crowds let off flares and fireworks as the players drove to a nearby car park before taking on St Mirren.

A Holyrood spokesperson hit out at the fans for breaching Covid-19 lockdown rules and “jeopardizing the safety of police officers and supporters”.
