MINISTERS have blocked scrutiny of test and trace supremo Dido Harding’s dealings with private firms during the pandemic.

Around 70% of contracts given to firms to deliver Test and Trace were done under emergency Covid rules so no competitive tendering was needed.

But despite ministers and senior officials having to declare meetings that could influence their decisions, Baroness Harding’s dealings will be kept secret, the Government ruled.
