• 8/47 Jasprit Bumrah (5/24 + 3/23) has produced his best bowling figures in a Test on home soil. Bumrah’s performance is his second-best in a winning cause after the 9/86 vs Australia in Melbourne in Dec 2018. Bumrah’s figures are now the best by an Indian bowler against SL, bettering Ishant Sharma’s 8/86 in Colombo in Aug 2015.

• 8 Times Ravindra Jadeja has got Angelo Matthews out in Tests (6 times in 2017, twice in 2022), the most times a bowler has captured the Lankan batter’s wicket. Jadeja has also dismissed Moeen Ali and Alastair Cook 7 times each.
