New Delhi: A seven-year-old girl and her four-year-old sister were killed when a speeding car hit them in Model Town in northwest Delhi on Monday night. Their five-year-old brother and their father’s friend were injured and are in hospital. Police are yet to track down the vehicle involved in the fatal accident.
Ishika and Bhoomi, the two sisters, were on an outing with their parents, brother Gaurav and family friend Milap Singh, 55, all of them residents of Burari in north Delhi. Jaspal Singh, the father and a driver by profession, stopped at a CNG station for a refill. The children and Milap stepped out of the car and were crossing the road when a car hit them and sped away before it could be stopped by the people around.
