While the medical world may deem any pregnancy in women 35 years of age and older to be a ‘geriatric pregnancy’ (it has been changed here and there to the hardly-more-politically-correct term, Advanced Maternal Age), scientific marvels are ensuring one is never too old for a bun in the oven. In fact, it’s been hard to even linguistically keep up with trend that has spawned terms like ‘mid-life’, ‘elder’, or ‘late-in-life’ mums. But how feasible is quinquagenarian maternity for those besides the famous?
