Living in India in the summer means living through extreme heat. Summer in India is punctuated not only with the sound of crickets and the possibility of seeing some fireflies,but also sweating through your mattress because of a rickety fan.  

  

A lot of apartments and flats in the country, especially for younger people, are not in the best condition. It is not always possible to buy or use ACs in rented homes. As we are all stuck at home, it becomes even more important that our homes don't turn into a furnace under the unrelenting sun.
