BJP “boycotts' home min meet, says all attacks on oppn at CM's behest

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said he boycotted state home minister Dilip Walse-Patil's meeting on Monday to discuss the issue of loudspeakers to protest the attacks on opposition party workers and MLAs over the past few days.

"Besides, the chief minister is not attending the meeting. What does one do attending the meeting where the chief minister is not present. All the attacks on the opposition have been perpetrated at the behest of the CM," said Fadnavis, who is opposition leader in the assembly.

Addressing a presser, he said police are working with the state government in allowing attacks on the opposition. Fadnavis said if the government is going to work with a "Hitler mindset," there can only be agitation, and there is no room for dialogue. “The government must implement court orders on loudspeakers. If the government does not implement court orders, BJP will decide on its strategy," he said.
