1 Stay safe

We’re often running around at a rate of knots on photoshoots, but always remember to stay as safe as possible. Here I was on a stepladder being held by an assistant; my camera was firmly tied around my neck in case I dropped it. Reassure everyone around you of what you’re doing – and if it feels wrong, don’t do it.

2 Angles on faces

By shooting downwards you could effectively be creating an unflattering angle on your model. Here I asked my models to bring their heads up a little from the floor to compensate.
