You’ve got to put the work in to stay at the top of your game, and in a world of ever-evolving PC peripherals that means being wised up to the latest tech trends. The humble mouse may feel like a given – you’re bound to get by with the off-white office rodent you found in the shed – but some off-cut kit isn’t going to convince your friends and family that you’re living your best gamer life. And that’s all we really want, isn’t it?

With a new gaming mouse announced what feels like every other week, there’s one for every hand, player, and genre of game available to purchase. The problem is sifting through the hundreds of products that don’t fit the bill, in order to find that golden rodent that feels like it was crafted bespoke for your very own digits.

To save you from doing that yourself you can check out our top picks from the ones we tested and choose a mouse from there.

1 G502 Lightspeed

LOGITECH £130

The best wireless gaming mouse

The Logitech G502 is legendary. Everything from the shape and weight, to the smartly placed buttons down the left-hand side, it’s a fan-favourite thoroughbred. So as soon as Logitech announced it was bolstering its famed mouse with Lightspeed Wireless technology and its top-of-the-line Hero 16K Sensor, it was a near-enough a guaranteed winner.

It’s a little more ‘gamer’ than its Logitech G Pro Wireless compatriot. It’s noticeably more extreme and sharp in appearance, but it’s not to a fault. Despite a heavy dousing of right-angles and cool cutaways, it’s one of the comfiest mice we’ve ever laid our right-hand on.
