“I'm Usually There, Pulling Celebratory Confetti Out Of My Hair”

In 2014 I watched Samsung White stroll to victory in Seoul, in 2015 I watched superstar player Faker do a casual somersault onto the main stage in Berlin, and in 2016 I was white-knuckled somewhere near the roof of the Staples Center in LA watching Samsung’s reworked team push Faker’s crew to an unexpected full best-of-five.

This year I wasn’t producing coverage of the tournament. I was free to live my life, perhaps learn beekeeping or find out what a fidget spinner is. But I watched every single match of that tournament.
