Mark Camoccio explores the realms of the rather interesting Stoeger RX20 S3 Suppressor

Silence Is Golden

As part of the world-famous Beretta group, Stoeger Airguns were always likely to show some flair in their design, and that’s exactly what we get with their RX models. The new RX20 S3 Suppressor is a dramatically-styled, break-barrel, spring-powered model, which offers plenty of features and even a 4x32 scope and mounts, all in for £250, so a competitive deal on the face of it.

‘Innovation, technology and style’ are the guiding principles behind the development of this model according to Stoeger, intended to ‘convey new emotions’, and whilst that all sounds a little OTT, there’s no doubting the RX20 is an appealing airgun. OK, the marketing for this model has been fairly outlandish at times, even claiming it to be the ‘Ultimate Air Rifle’; which I have to say it probably isn’t, but what I can tell you, is that it’s a lot of fun. We get a full-power action, the latest full-length shroud S3 Suppressor system, fiber-optics with interchangeable foresight and adjustable rear sight, stylish synthetic stock with interchangeable grip and fore-end sections, two-stage trigger, and a Stoeger branded 4x32 scope and mounts.
