Ben Stokes, considered one of the best all-rounders in the world, has earned much attention for his return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2021. Almost every team was willing to spend big money to acquire him, but Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ended up signing him for a whopping 16.25 crore, making him their most expensive player. In his previous five seasons, Stokes has played 43 matches and scored 920 runs, including two IPL hundreds, with an average of 25. He has also taken 28 wickets at a strike rate of 24.39. Stokes is seen as a potential successor to MS Dhoni for captaincy, and his addition to the CSK squad is expected to provide much-needed balance and experience that was lacking in the previous season.
