Mollie Aiming To Be Central To Spence’s Plans
Twice so far this season, Everton Ladies head coach Andy Spence has had to make a last-minute change to his starting line-up.
Prior to the January game at Chelsea, Simone Magill picked up a knock in the warm-up, ruling her out of the game at Kingsmeadow. Then at Arsenal last month, Dan Turner finally succumbed to the sickness bug that had plagued her in the week leading up to the contest.
On both occasions, Spence turned to the same player – Mollie Green.
The former Liverpool attacker has had to remain patient for chances throughout the campaign but, despite having just minutes to change her mind-set from substitute to starting line-up, she has never let the side down.
And now she is targeting a spot in the line-up when the season resumes next week against Durham after the recent international break.
