The recently opened Garden Club is a kind of all-encompassing venue for conscious eaters. Serving up a menu which aims to demonstrate that conscious eating shouldn’t just be an occasional event, there is plenty of variety that ensures something for every type of diet and preferences.
THE PLACE
On the fifth level of the OUE Downtown Gallery, The Garden Club is strategically located out of sight of the main street level. The venue has an indoor seating area and a shaded outdoor section that is surrounded by a lush garden. It was surprisingly breezy on our visit, and despite the city traffic just five levels below, the noise was kept at bay by the garden. It's actually hard to tell that you are in the middle of the Central Business District from up here.
We were told that while both the indoor and outdoor seating areas are filled to capacity with a fast turnover during the lunch hour rush, the evenings see a distinct preference for the outdoor, rooftop dining area, where live acoustic music and enticing Happy Hour promotions bring people in through word-of-mouth recommendations.
