THE ALLIGATOR PEAR - or avocado, as it's far more sensibly known - is packed with healthy fats; and according to new research, is a friend of the gut.

The study found that eating an avo a day can improve your intestinal health, thanks to the high levels of fibre and unsaturated fatty acids. Combine it with salmon, as in this recipe, for a protein-packed, gut-friendly feast.
