Exclusive Interview With Harry Kane, Who May Only Have Graced White Hart Lane For A Small Part Of Its 118-Year History, But Still Managed To Produce Some Magical Moments That Will Live Long In The Memory

Magic Moments

When the lights go out and the doors emotionally close for one final time at White Hart Lane later this evening, we will all walk away with memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Harry Kane is no different. When the 23-year old eventually hangs up his boots and reminisces about days gone by, he’ll think back to many of those very same moments that we will too.

Admittedly, he will have been the one wearing the famous Lilywhite shirt and experiencing some of those glorious memories from a slightly different perspective to those watching from their seats! But whether you’re the player on the pitch scoring the goals or the supporter in the stands cheering them in, this great stadium has enough history for all of us.

In fact Harry is fortunate to have experienced both sides of the coin. The England striker knows what it’s like to sit inside White Hart Lane and watch in awe as footballers he looked up to produced moments of magic to inspire and delight. And then he went and did exactly that himself.

He was here when Jermain Defoe blitzed Wigan Athletic with a stunning five-goal haul as we racked up our record 9-1 win back in November, 2009, and again for those wonderful Champions League nights of 2010, in particular that performance of sheer pace and power from Gareth Bale that left reigning European champions Inter Milan trailing in his wake.

When we asked our supporters to submit their own personal memories of White Hart Lane as we prepared to bring down the curtain on our 118-year stay at this iconic venue, both of those games featured prominently and that came as no surprise to Harry.
