Impossible Burger 2.0

Fast-food hamburgers have taken on epic proportions in our collective consciousness.

The debate on which is the best burger is hotly contested with some claiming In-N-Out as the hands-down favorite while Shake Shack and Five Guys aficionados seem to think differently.

Personally, nothing soothes a hangover better than Tropical Hut’s classic burger, which is a calibrated bomb of flavor, grease, cheese, and bread that does the trick every time. Once considered the lowliest of snacks, hamburgers have also now become fancy fare thanks to the explosion in grade-A meat like Wagyu and Kobe beef.

Of course, burgers are a matter of personal preference with many people swearing by their own home-cooked recipes over fast food or restaurant chains.

One of the biggest stories out of CES 2019 wasn’t a technology item at all but the Impossible Burger 2.0. Simply put, this is a plant-based product that has been designed to look, feel, smell, and taste like a beef burger. The key ingredient is heme, a particle that is found in most living things and the component that can give a meat-like feel to plant products.
