WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IN THE CARAVAN AND CAMPING WORLD
COMFORT, CONVENIENCE & QUALITY
Freeline Trail Campers have unveiled their first production caravan. The “Maverick” was launched at the Caravan, Camp & Destination Show at the end of February, but Francois Kotzé gave Caravan & Outdoor Life a sneak peek at the new gravel-roader before it was released to the public.
The Maverick is an original design by Freeline, and sleeps two to four people. The 4.5 metre mono structure is made out of lightweight, high-tech composite material, which allows the caravan to weigh less than 1 000 kg.
The caravan comes with features like a queen size bed, toilet, shower, outside kitchen (with double basin), gas hob, a 90 L freezer and outside grocery cabinet with a foldout table
Francois tells Caravan & Outdoor Life: “People have often asked me why I started building caravans. To be honest, it was always a dream but the right motivation and resources were never there… until an old friend ignited the idea over a few drinks.
“From a young age I’ve been in my father’s factory and learned from the best, with over 30 years of knowledge in the fibreglass industry.
“Every Freeline caravan is built with painstaking attention to detail in order to provide its owner with the maximum comfort and convenience.
Beginning at the drawing board, we consider all possibilities for each type of caravan we build – from floor plans to sleeping areas, the bathroom and kitchen arrangement, and of course storage areas.”
Francois says Freeline only uses high quality fittings, accessories, equipment, and utility options to make each caravan specifically enjoyable.
"We search out everything for touring, weekend and long term camping.
