Technology Is Calling

The Retreat is the first of its kind to encourage a switch off policy and to immerse yourself in mindful activities

Technology Is Calling

It is no secret that we have entered a time where mindfulness has become a part of our everyday self-care regime. Along with exercise and healthy eating, there are ways to keep our minds fresh, healthy and in the present. Mindfulness has promised to help us escape from our phone addictions, our high pressure jobs as well as the mundanity of everyday life that has us all feeling like we constantly need a time-out.

The mindfulness market is now worth a whopping $ 1 billion with it set to rise in the next five years. The average person is ditching high energy holidays in exchange for yoga retreats and spa getaways, taking the time to feel calmer and closer to living in the present.

Dubai-based hotel, The Retreat, is the first of its kind set on the luxurious Palm. With a base built for detox, time-out and meditation as well as Ayurveda medicine, this hotel supports the idea that our lives can be boosted by practicing simple regimes in our everyday lives. It seems simple enough, meditating and breathing every morning for five minutes: but what is it about our lives that stops us from taking that time to self-care? In actuality this kind of time will help us think quicker, feel happier and do more at work.
