WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GET INTO MAKEUP?
I have always had a creative mind. Since I was child, I would doodle every chance I got. I always knew what career I wanted to pursue— it had to be something creative, something in the arts. Makeup was just the first step towards my creative journey.
TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR MAKEUP JOURNEY AND HOW IT ALL STARTED?
I was studying to be a product and furniture designer. I wasn’t interested in makeup as a young girl, but one day in college, a friend told me that red lipstick would really suit. I just laughed it off, but just to prove a point, she took me to buy a red lipstick. Naturally, I went to try it on and in that moment, I realised how transformative makeup can be. I felt good, confident, and even sassy. That’s when my love for makeup began. My interest only got deeper from that moment on, and I decided to study advanced makeup techniques in London. It still amazes me how that one red lipstick changed my life.
