Feel stronger, healthier and happier, with celeb trainer Tiffiny Hall’s martial arts-inspired HIIT workout
Tiffiny Hall might just change your life. APT, Australian TV personality and founder of health and fitness program TIFFXO, she shot to fame when she became the main expert trainer on hit Australian show The Biggest Loser and is now the HIIT/HIRT and MMA expert on Chris Hemsworth’s health and fitness app, Centr. The daughter of two Taekwondo masters, she believes in the power of martial arts, both mentally and physically.
‘Martial arts is one of the best calorie-burning workouts you can do,’ says Tiffiny, ‘because it uses big muscle groups, such as your back and your legs, and spikes your heart rate really fast. When you spike your heart rate, you boost your metabolism, and when you boost your metabolism, you burn more calories at rest.’
When it comes to getting you fit, Tiffiny draws on her expertise in HIIT (high-intensity interval training), HIRT (high-intensity resistance training) and MMA (mixed martial arts) to get you in the best possible shape. Having lost 30kg after having her son less than two years ago, she promises you can get results from doing her 20-minute workout twice a week. ‘It’s exactly the type of training I do, and I’ve lost all my baby weight, and come back leaner and stronger than before,’ says Tiffiny. ‘It works.’ And now you can experience the results for yourself, with one of her top workouts to tone your upper body and abs. Using the moves on the following pages, you’ll build lean definition while burning energy. All you need is a couple of dumbbells or two full water bottles.
