Songstress tells about her struggles and successes in her 13-year career
SINGER Kelly Khumalo (31) has been the centre of controversy since she stepped into the limelight 13 years ago. She has made many headlines for her personal life more than her music career. Now the actress feels that it’s time to tell her story in her own way – through music.
NOW IS THE TIME
Kelly’s story has always been told by other people, but the singer wants to change that. In one of the tracks from her latest album titled Senzo, Kelly pays tribute to her late baby daddy and former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa.
“You went too soon, there was still a lot we wanted to do, we wanted to build a home, raise our kids and get old together but I wish I could tell you that I love you one more time,” she sings. Kelly feels that she has always been under scrutiny from the minute she entered the music industry.
